8th / 9th December 2007
- Introduction and Welcome by Clwb Modur Cymru
- The Organising Committee would like to extend a welcome to all potential participants on this the fifth running of the event.
- The event is to be run in conjunction with the Welsh Rally Retrospective and we have moved from the traditional April date to the second weekend in December to accommodate both the WAMC Road Rally Championship and the HRCR Clubmans Road Championship. This year the event will start and finish at the Brecon Leisure Centre where its facilities will provide breakfast and prize giving on Sunday morning.
-
- We are pleased to announce that the event also forms part of the ANWCC Road Rally Championship as well as the WAMC Road Rally Championship and we look forward to welcoming crews from those series to Mid Wales.
- The event will commence with a regularity section in the form of tulip diagrams with all mileages and times shown at each junction and other points on the route and takes competitors to the meat of the event. This will be in the form of three marked maps and these will consist of two visits to Eppynt and some non damaging Forest Enterprise roads divided by a typical Welsh lanes section.
- The organising team is the same one that organises the Gremlin Road Rally and who previously won best Road Rally award in the Welsh Road Rally Championship. Novices are looked after by being given extra information on the marked maps to make their life somewhat easier.
- Incorporated into this night road rally for modern cars will be the Welsh Rally Retro running under separate regulations and it will be interesting to compare their results with your own at the end of the event.
- We are also offering a special class for 1400cc endurance formula cars who will only compete for their own awards.
- You can be sure of a warm welcome on this night road rally and we hope to see previous competitors as well as newcomers on this event.
